Never-Before-Seen Uncut SFX Shots from NIGHT OF THE DEMONS 2 Released

As production on Pennywise: The Story of IT comes to an end, the guys at Cult Screenings UK Ltd, Dead Mouse Productions, and Mike Perez Productions have already begun working on their latest documentary venture, The Party’s Just Begun! The Legacy of Night of the Demons. This particular retrospective will follow not only the creation of the 1988 film (starring Amelia Kinkade and Linnea Quigley), but the journey to cult status with its two sequels and 2009 remake.

Earlier this month, it was announced the companies had acquired several deleted scenes from the sequels (released in 1994 and 1997), which will be making their premiere within the doc as well as appear separately for the special features. To give a teaser, writer Chris MacGibbon has shared a never-before-seen alternate version of Mouse’s nightmare… featuring extended & uncut effects designed by Steve Johnson (Ghostbusters, An American Werewolf in London)!

You can tell this is an early cut as the sound effects are missing, but with the camera lingering on the gore, it amounts to a pretty damn gruesome scene!

Now, the doc is being crowdfunded through Indiegogo. A healthy portion of the budget has already been raised, but the guys are still looking to secure the necessary funds to complete the project. Perks for donating include limited edition posters, T-shirts, DVD/Blu-Ray combos, producer credits… and recently, the campaign been updated to include two superb, original art pieces from Juan Jose Saldarriaga, which you can see to the right!

A number of cast & crew interviews have been shot with more still in the cards… including writer/producer Joe Augustyn (Night of the Demons, Night of the Demons 2), director Brian Trenchard-Smith and actor Johnny Moran (Night of the Demons 2), director Jimmy Kaufman and actress “Lois” actress Tara Slone (Night of the Demons 3)… plus a few others that are being kept under wraps for the time being.

As we previously reported, The Party’s Just Begun! is looking at a digital release in 2019, with a physical release depending upon the amount of funds raised. He even directed Tales from the Darkside: The Movie, which was Andrew LaSane's Scarred for Life pick, which is one of Terry's favorite movies. We chat about his long history in cinema; about how he started working with Romero to some insights into Tales from the Darkside. And we discuss his latest work, the novel Residue: Paramentals Rising, which is a sequel to the Netflix show. After learning about his horror history--including a memorable viewing of Night of the Living Dead--we find out why The Haunting terrified him as a twelve year old.
