Twisted Holiday Yule Log Sees Nic Cage Burning in Agony for Hours

As Red Miller in Panos Cosmatos’ Mandy, Nicholas Cage finally played a character worthy of his extreme range of emotions. Though often mocked for his enthusiastic “Cage Rage” in lesser films, the actor’s unhinged, Kabuki-eque portrayal of a man on a burning quest for vengeance was absolutely perfect. The film has put Cage back into the forefront of popular consciousness, hopefully signaling a resurgence in his popularity.

I’ve never made bones about the fact that I’m a huge Cage fan, considering the actor a national treasure (pun intended) years before Mandy shook cinephiles in 2018. That’s why, a couple years back, my friend Michael McWhorter and I created a twisted spin on those cheesy holiday “Yule Logs”, the ones aired on basic cable channels so those of us without fireplaces can at least have an approximation of a warm fire on Christmas.

Thus, The Wicker Yule was born! Culled from 2006’s disastrous remake of The Wicker Man, it features over 2 hours of Cage screaming in agony. You can practically hear his fleshing sizzling and popping! If you’ve got a hankering to add a little horror to your Christmas, fire up your laptop and light up The Wicker Yule for the entire family!

“Now you can open gifts to the soothing sounds of everyone’s favorite Saint Nick (Cage) as he is burned alive for over 2 hours! Also, keep an eye and ear out for special visual and audible Easter eggs sprinkled throughout.”

Also, if you haven’t seen Mandy, check out the synopsis and trailer below. If you missed 2006’s The Wicker Man, consider yourself blessed!

Synopsis:
In the Pacific Northwest in 1983, outsiders Red Miller and Mandy Bloom lead a loving and peaceful existence. When their pine-scented haven is savagely destroyed by a cult led by the sadistic Jeremiah Sand, Red is catapulted into a phantasmagoric journey filled with bloody vengeance and laced with deadly fire.
