BREAKING: SCREAM Fans Can Spend the Night at Stu’s House for a “Weekend at Scene 118”

Last summer, we covered “Scream Comes Home”, an event that allowed hundreds of fans to party at the house used to film the climax of Wes Craven’s seminal meta-slasher, Scream (released in 1996). Lucky attendees had the opportunity to watch horror movies in the same Livingroom where Randy (Jamie Kennedy) laid out the rules for survival. Rumor has it, Ghostface himself made an appearance!

It was such a successful event, “Scream Comes Home” organizers and uber-fans Anthony Masi and Nate Ragon have put together another once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend considerable time in a bona fide genre landmark. This spring, a lucky few will get to attend a “Weekend at Scene 118”! Whereas “Scream Comes Home” was a one-night rager, “Weekend at Scene 118” will be a much more intimate affair—and it will last much longer.

Masi and Ragon gave us the exclusive; first, Ragon explained:

“We really thought that Scream Comes Home was going to the only chance for Scream fans to visit/stay at the house. The homeowners, in fact, did move back in. We were lucky enough to be able to secure a handful of weekends with the homeowners to allow a few more opportunities for fans to experience the house. It’s a more intimate experience than Scream Comes Home was. Everyone who attended Scream Comes Home told us it was the best weekend of their lives. The homeowners were inspired and in shock by how grateful and respectful everyone was. Weekend at Scene 118 is a more intimate Scream experience. 18 lucky fans will have a private 3-day experience at the house, including some of the perks we offered at SCH, as well as a few new ones! I will be attending each weekend in April, and will be bringing plenty of surprises!”

Here’s what Masi had to say:

“So many people emailed us to say they couldn’t attend Scream Comes Home and literally begged us to produce the event again. We honestly didn’t want to do that because duplicating the exact experience couldn’t possibly capture the magic of the original event. At the same time, we felt we had an obligation to see what else we could do since there was obviously interest from Scream fans who still wanted to visit the mansion. And since we already successfully opened the door to the place once, we figured we could at least try and do it again, just as a wholly different experience.”

The event’s official website describes the property: ” This beautiful mansion was used in the last act of the movie, Scream, which took 3 weeks to film, and the brilliantly directed and acted scenes that were filmed here carved their way into horror infamy! The house is owned by a private citizen and sits in a gated complex in beautiful Tomales, California, right outside Santa Rosa. Previously a wedding venue, we have worked out a deal with the homeowner to create a special weekend just for horror fans who want to experience what it’s like first-hand to step into this famous horror movie!”

Those lucky enough to snap up a spot will have can choose between one of five rooms; some are suited for lovers, while other have more of a slumber-party vibe. All options look fantastic and are clearly opportunities most Scream fans would die for! “Weekend at Scene 118” will take place April 5th thru 7th and again on April 12th thru 14th. Don’t sleep on this chance of a lifetime!
