Modern Twist on Classic Flying Saucer Horror in Trailer for FIGHTING THE SKY

Captive State, an alien invasion horror landing in US theaters beginning March 29th, isn’t the only upcoming film to feature a terrifying extraterrestrial menace. We’ve just seen the trailer for Fighting the Sky, and it looks fantastic. In addition to toying with paranormal investigation tropes, it feels like a throwback to the flying saucer-centric sci-fi of the Cold War era following WWII.

Synopsis:
Strange other-worldly sounds are echoing around the world. A group of researchers, led by expert ufologist Lorraine Gardner, begin an expedition to track down the point of origin from which the sounds emerge. Yet as their journey deepens, they begin to discover more than they bargained for.

Fighting the Sky is directed by Conrad Faraj from a screenplay he co-wrote with David Matthew Cummings. The film stars Angela Cole (White Boy Rick), Roger Conners (The Curse of Lilith Ratchet), Matthew Ward, Nicole Ann Hicks, Alison Headrick, Jinette Faraj, Judith Faraj, Brianna Burke, Bailey Weaver, Logan Roberts, Ed Conrad, and Larry Cahill. Also on display are incredible creature effects from Corey McCauley (Kevin Smith’s Tusk, Mike Mendez’s Don’t Kill It).
