Dude! Michael Myers Killed a Dog in Deleted Scene from HALLOWEEN 2018

Dude, Michael Myers killed a dog. Not cool man.

The scene was cut from 2018’s Halloween, a sequel to John Carpenter’s original which also served as a commemoration of the franchise’s 40th anniversary. If you missed it in theaters, the film is available now on Blu-ray and DVD. It includes some tasty special features, included the dead dog scene mentioned above. To be fair, we don’t actually see “The Shape” slay the poor mongrel, but we see the aftermath—and it isn’t pretty.

Funny how horror fans don’t mind seeing countless horny teenagers get butchered, but can’t stand the sight of cruelty to animals, even when we know it isn’t real. I mean, I know Myers is the personification of evil and all that, but killing a dog is just too low! If you want to see the upsetting scene for yourself, give it a spin over at io9, HERE.

You can check out the synopsis and trailer for Halloween 2018 below.

Synopsis:
It’s been 40 years since Laurie Strode survived a vicious attack from crazed killer Michael Myers on Halloween night. Locked up in an institution, Myers manages to escape when his bus transfer goes horribly wrong. Laurie now faces a terrifying showdown when the masked madman returns to Haddonfield, Ill. — but this time, she’s ready for him.

Halloween is directed by David Gordon Green from a screenplay he co-scribed with his frequent collaborator Danny McBride. The film stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, and Andi Matichak; the film was further bolstered by a throbbing soundtrack from John Carpenter that put a 21st Century spin on the classic score.

Bonus Features include:

  • Deleted/Extended Scenes: “Extended Shooting Range,” “Shower Mask Visit,” “Jog to a Hanging Dog,” “Allyson and Friends at School,” “Cameron and Cops Don’t Mix,” “Deluxe Banh Mi Cops,” and “Sartain and Hawkins Ride Along”
  • Back in Haddonfield: Making Halloween
  • The Original Scream Queen
  • The Sound of Fear
  • Journey of the Mask
  • The Legacy of Halloween
