Soskas’ RABID Remake Will Include References to Other David Cronenberg Movies
Twin filmmakers Jen and Sylvia Soska are about to
Von Palleske played Cary in Dead Ringers, another one of Cronenberg’s cult hits, released in 1988. In her photo, Sylvia reveals that Rabid will include some sore of Easter Egg/shout-out to the story of a love triangle between twin gynecologists! Check out the photos and Sylvia’s titillating tease below.
“Honored to have this icon from Dead Ringers appear in our Rabid remake – bless you, Heidi Von Palleske, for bringing your amazing talents to the film. Cannot wait for you all to see our nod to Dead Ringers in the film – nothing but love for the Canadian master of cinema, Mr. David Cronenberg.”
This, of course, poses the question: How many Easter Eggs from other Cronenberg classics can we expect to find in Rabid (if any)? Either way, the hunt will begin sometime this year; we plan on bringing you release information the second it becomes available.
Synopsis:
What happens when you realize that to achieve
your dreams you have to live a nightmare? Rose is a quiet, demure, unassuming
woman in her looks and actions. Her dream is to become a famous designer in the
fashion world, but a terrible accident leaves Rose scarred beyond recognition.
She seeks out a radical untested stem cell treatment. The treatment is nothing
short of a miracle and wallflower Rose turns into the belle of the ball. It all
seems too good to be true. She is now everything she wanted to be. But
everything in life comes at a price and this new-found perfect life is no
exception.
