IT: CHAPTER TWO News: Pennywise Even Freaked Out Adult Actors Playing Grown-Up Losers Club
Tales of Bill Skarsgård legitimately terrorizing the young actors who played The Losers Club in 2017’s IT are legendary; much of the “acting” was legitimate fear. It turns out the kids aren’t the only ones unnerved by the “Dancing Clown”. James McAvoy plays the adult version of Bill Denbrough in the upcoming sequel; he recently talked to CinemaBlend about the unease Skarsgård elicited among the cast:
“He’s amazing. The guy who plays the clown in terrifying. He’s a lovely guy, and yet he really freaked me out. I remember standing there with the rest of the cast, all these adults, and we’d all done weird, freaky stuff. And we are all looking at each other going, ‘I don’t like being here. I don’t like being an actor today.’ He really did, he really freaked me out. I never liked clowns as a kid.”
Look for IT: Chapter Two to float into US theaters this September. Andy Muschietti remains at the helm, directing from a screenplay penned by Gary Dauberman (based on the novel by Stephen King). No trailer yet, folks, but we’ll bring it to you the instant it hits the internet. Stay tuned!
