Watch Ten Minutes Of RESIDENT EVIL 2 Recreated In LEGO DIMENSIONS
Unless you’ve been living in a cave on Mars, you’ll know that the remake of Resident Evil 2 is being released on Friday. That’s right, less than a week to go until we can finally play the beautiful new version of the game which originally gave us nightmares all the way back in 1998.
If you can’t wait until then, we’ve got a fun little video to help you pass the time. YouTuber Mythic Marty recreated ten minutes of Resident Evil 2 using the Creative Mode in Lego Worlds, and the result pretty much speaks for itself. We never thought something made out of Lego could scare us, but we were wrong.
The video recreates in painstaking detail the clunky camera angles and annoying door-opening animations which were prevalent in the 1998 original, albeit in Lego form. Even the menu system is almost an exact replication. The level of detail here is unprecedented.
Fans will also be pleased to see that the voice acting in the video is ripped straight from the original game, and somehow, hearing the awkward dialogue being delivered by Lego men makes it all the more hilarious. And we need something to laugh at, because watching a Lego version of Leon S. Kennedy traversing a Lego brick replica of the Raccoon City Police Station is enough to give us chills.
Rest assured, however, that the remake of Resident Evil 2 will completely do away with the awkward camera angles and controls which plagued the original. Capcom will release the game on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on January 25.
