GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS Director Reveals Each of King Ghidorah’s Heads Has Unique Personality!
The most recent details regarding Godzilla: King of the Monsters is coming from the Japanese publication Tamashii J.P., which have been relayed to us by one of our favorite UK film critics and academics, Mr. H. Apparently, King of the Monsters director and co-scribe Michael Dougherty has been discussing what makes his versions of Toho’s classic monsters unique.

Today, we’re looking at his comments regarding the intimidating dragon, King Ghidorah. For starters, Dougherty revealed that each of Ghidorah’s heads have unique identifiers as well as different personalities.
“We gave each head its own different personality, so each head it a little bit different than the other one.”
Hopefully they’re all playing for the same team! Can you imagine it? One head trying to run away while the other two are, like, “Get your ass back here!” But I digress. Another one of Dougherty’s comments which I found both intriguing and potentially revealing has to do with King Ghidorah’s wings:
“His wings are different, but something that could take flight and own the skies if he had to.”
“If he had to.” This suggest (at least to me) that despite his mighty wingspan, Ghidorah will not take to the skies like Mothra and Rodan (also making appearances in King of the Monsters). That’s fine, though; he’s plenty terrifying at ground level!
