Ted Bundy Biopic EXTREMELY WICKED, SHOCKINGLY VILE AND EVIL Acquired by Netflix
The Ted Bundy biopic Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile has been acquired by Netflix out of Sundance for a reported $9M. The film is directed by Joe Berlinger and is presented from the point of view of someone who presumes Bundy (played by Zac Efron) is innocent—his girlfriend Liz. Deadline broke the news, also reporting that Extremely Wicked will have a limited theatrical run in order to qualify for cinematic awards.

Berlinger directed Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile from a script penned by Michael Werwie; in addition to Efron, the film stars Haley Joel Osment, Lily Collins, and John Malkovich.
