CHILD’S PLAY Remake Trailer on Friday; See it 1 Day Sooner in Theaters Before THE PRODIGY

We have a confirmed release date for the trailer to Lars Klevberg’s Child’s Play reboot, and that date is this Friday, February 8th. We’re getting the word, however, that the trailer will be playing in theaters before screenings of The Prodigy; while the film technically opens nationwide on Friday as well, most markets hold early screenings on Thursday evenings, meaning you can get to know “Buddi” a day sooner.

Synopsis:
Child’s Play follows a mother (Aubrey Plaza) who gives her son (Gabriel Bateman) a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature.

Klevberg directs Child’s Play from a screenplay penned by Tyler Burton Smith. Look for it in US theaters beginning June 21st, 2019.

I wouldn’t pay for a movie just to see a trailer, but The Prodigy looks pretty good; a solid addition to the creepy kids subgenre of horror. Check out the synopsis and trailer below.

Synopsis:
Sarah’s young son Miles’ disturbing behavior signals that an evil force has overtaken him. Fearing for her family’s safety, Sarah must grapple with her maternal instinct to protect Miles in favor of investigating what is causing his dark turn.

The Prodigy is directed by Nicholas McCarthy from a screenplay penned by Jeff Buhler; the films stars Taylor Schilling, Brittany Allen, and Jackson Robert Scott.
