You Can’t Bury Brahms in First Look at THE BOY 2 Starring Katie Holmes
We’ve been following news of the sequel to 2016’s The Boy, The Boy 2, since the project was first announced on October 23rd. The film will star Katie Holmes, who may seem like a strange choice for a genre flick until you realize she’s got experience. Though best-known as the actress who played adolescent Joey on Dawson’s Creek in the 1990s, she went on to appeared in Disturbing Behavior, Abandon, and Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark.
Today, we’re getting our first official image from The Boy 2, and it features Brahms. Either someone is digging him up (bad idea) or burying him (smart), but either way, you can keep a creepy doll down! Have a look below, followed by the synopsis for The Boy 2.
Synopsis:
Unaware of the terrifying history of
Heelshire Mansion, a young family moves into the estate, where their young son
soon makes an unsettling new friend, an eerily life-like doll he calls Brahms.
The Boy 2 is reuniting original director and scribe, William Brent Bell and Stacey Menear respectively. In addition to Holmes, the film stars Christopher Convery (Gotham, The Girl in the Spider’s Web), Ralph Ineson (The Witch), and Owain Yeoman (The Belko Experiment).
We don’t have a trailer or a target release date yet for The Boy 2, but we’ll keep you posted.
