Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee Throws Shade at KISS Over “Identical” Final Tour Stage
Seminal theatrical 1970’s era rock icons KISS just launched their “Final” tour, and not everyone is happy. The most hardcore KISS fans can’t contemplate a world where the band’s tours aren’t an annual event. Of course, a huge swath of KISS fans are upset that Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley refused to reunite with original KISS drummer and guitar player Peter Criss and Ace Frehley for this final outing. Then there’s Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee who’s pissed for an entirely different reason.
The eccentric, heavily tattooed drummer threw shade at KISS over their latest stage design; he told his Twitter followers that it’s nearly identical to the set up of the Crüe’s farewell tour. Considering KISS is known for their outrageous originality, it certainly suggests the well has run dry for the elders in terms of engaging and unique creative output.
Lee’s sentiments were echoes by Mötley Crüe’s bass, Nikki Sixx:
What do you think horror fans: Does KISS deserve the shade they got from Tommy Lee? How do you feel about the band’s final tour, which is scheduled throughout the majority of 2019? Let us know in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram!
