Shudder Announces Trio of Horror-Themed Podcasts Featuring Genre Icons

Shudder has gone from being a scrappy little platform to a major force in streaming entertainment; dedicated to horror, thrillers, and tales of the supernatural, I’ve been calling Shudder a must-have service for years. They’ve got an amazing library of films including many incredible exclusives.

Today, we’re getting word that Shudder is launching a trio of podcasts, each featuring an icon of the genre. The first is Eli Roth’s History of Horror: Uncut; it’s the same content from his History of Horror TV series on AMC and much more. Next is She Kills, “a podcast by and about women in the horror genre”, hosted by Adrienne Barbeau. Finally, in Visitations with Elijah Wood & Daniel Noah the duo will sit down with some of today’s most prominent movers and shakers in their own homes.

“We’re thrilled to be working with amazing talents like Eli Roth, Adrienne Barbeau, Elijah Wood and Daniel Noah, who have assembled an unprecedented collection of horror creators for this slate of podcasts,” said Craig Engler, Shudder’s General Manager. “They’ll be exploring timely topics, unpacking the history of the genre and pointing the way to its future by talking to the people who made horror it what it is today.”

Eli Roth’s History of Horror: Uncut premieres on March 22nd; She Kills drops on March 1st, and Elijah Wood and Daniel Noah will begin their Visitations this spring.
