First Teaser for Ari Aster’s MIDSOMMAR is… Enigmatic
2018 was all about Hereditary, as proven by the film’s huge haul at Fangoria’s recent Chainsaw Awards. But following up a freshman megahit can be daunting, and that’s what writer/director Ari Aster is facing. His next film, Midsommar, is slated to hit theaters this Summer. Can it possibly be as arresting and unshakable as Hereditary? Will horror fans go in with unreasonably high expectations? Will Aster attempt to redefine himself as something besides a straight-up horror maestro? All these questions remain unknown.
