SLIPKNOT Tantalize Fans with New Website, Countdown & Potential Album Title/Release Date

We’ve been watching Slipknot like hawks here at Dread Central. Not only has there been a lot of movement on the band’s various social media fronts since the surprise release of the single/video for “All Out Life” dropped on Halloween 2018. We’re all but certain an album is arriving in 2019, along with an extensive tour to support the new material.

It looks like we’re about to get some exciting details that will confirm what maggots (aka Slipknot fans) have been hoping for. A moving image directed their followers to the new website WeAreNotYourKind.com, where you get a countdown screen and a bar code. Something is going down in approximately 2 days.

If you zap the bar code on your phone and enter your location, you’re directed to a ticketing site for Slipknot show dates in your vicinity. If there’s nothing pending in your area, however, fans get a message, a date to be exact: 8.9.19.

What does it mean? The most likely theory is that the new album is called We Are Not Your Kind and will drop on August 9th, 2019. It’s worth noting that both Iowa and All Hope is Gone were released in August, so it is the season of Slipknot. Basically, there’s nothing but good news on the horizon.

Check out the video at the top of the article (from our friends at Rock Feed) for a full breakdown on this tantalizing information; it’s an interesting trail of breadcrumbs to be certain! We’ll keep you posted on all Slipknot-related news as details emerge. Stay tuned!
