The Festivities Begin in First Trailer for Ari Aster’s MIDSOMMAR

Hereditary was, hands down, the most buzzed about horror movie of 2018 (whether you loved it like I did or not). Now, everyone is eager to experience the follow-up to writer/director Ari Aster’s tale of demonic possession—and the teaser for Midsommar looks incredible. Just imagine: A nine-day festival held once every 90 years.

Of course, this is not your typical party! Give the trailer a spin at the top of the article, followed by the poster and synopsis below.

Synopsis:
Florence Pugh and Jack Reynor will play a couple that travels to Sweden to visit their friend’s rural hometown for its fabled mid-summer festival. What begins as an idyllic retreat quickly devolves into an increasingly violent and bizarre competition at the hands of a pagan cult.

Look for Midsommar to hit US theaters beginning August 9th. What do you think of the trailer and synopsis for Midsommar? Let us know in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram!
