Sex and Horror Collide in NSFW Poster and Clip from PORNO
Sex and horror make for a natural combination; whether there a morality tale at play or merely a heightening of the senses before delivering a scare, sex and horror go together like… I’ll just say peanut butter and jelly. But what happens when the sexual element of a movie jumps off the screen? And what if this entity had both amorous and nefarious intentions?
That’s pretty much the premise of Porno, screening at SXSW beginning Saturday, March 9th. Give the debut clip, “Finding Todd” a spin at the top of the article; the poster synopsis and SXSW screening dates/location are listed below.
Synopsis:
Abe is a burgeoning perv with a guilty
conscience. Todd is Abe’s spazzed out BFF and partner in grime. Chaz is a girl
with a boy’s name who hides her feelings behind a thick layer of goth eyeliner.
Ricky is the star jock with a secret in his pants he dare not expose. What
these uptight dweebs could never have guessed is that the wholesome movie
theater they work at used to have a lot more than just gum stuck to the seats.
When a remnant of the theater’s porno past surfaces, the kids are visited by a
sex demon that gives them a taste of the dark side.
Porno is directed by Keola Racela from a script penned by Matt Black and Laurence Vannicelli; the film stars Katelyn Pearce, Larry Saperstein, and Robbie Tann.
