Woody Harrelson “Literally Laughing All Day Long” on ZOMBIELAND: DOUBLE TAP Production
A few days ago, we relayed updates Jesse Eisenberg gave MovieWeb on the status of Zombieland: Double Tap, currently neck deep into production in advance of the film’s October release. Now, EW has cornered Woody Harrelson (who plays “Tallahassee”) for an update on how things are going on the set of the 10-years-later sequel, and it sounds like he’s having a blast!
“What we’ve shot so far, I’m really impressed with,” Harrelson told EW. “Getting to hang out with these guys — Emma [Stone], and Abbie [Breslin], and Jesse [Eisenberg], and [director] Ruben [Fleischer] — I feel so lucky, really, really lucky. You know, it’s literally laughing all day long, and that’s your job. Like, my job is, I laugh all day long? It seems unbelievable. So, I feel really lucky right now.”

It always bodes well when actors are genuinely excited about the projects they’re working on, and Harrelson’s enthusiasm seems legit. When Zombieland: Double Tap hits theaters this October, it will be almost 10 years to the day since we first met “Tallahassee”, “Little Rock”, “Wichita”, and “Columbus” (played by Harrelson, Breslin, Stone, and Eisenberg respectively).
If it’s been a while, take a trip back to Zombieland by giving the first film’s synopsis and trailer a whirl below.
Synopsis:
After a virus turns most people into zombies, the world’s surviving humans remain locked in an ongoing battle against the hungry undead. Four survivors — Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) and his cohorts Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin) — abide by a list of survival rules and zombie-killing strategies as they make their way toward a rumored safe haven in Los Angeles.
