On Eve of New Album/Tour SLIPKNOT Percussionist Chris Fehn Sues Bandmates

This is supposed to be a landmark year for Slipknot with a new album ready to drop (their first since 2014’s 5: The Gray Chapter) and a supporting tour (the Knotfest Roadshow) set to launch this summer. Now, we’re getting news from The Blast that could be a potentially throw a wrench into the machinery.

Percussionist Chris Fehn (aka #3), who’s been part of Slipknot since 1998, is suing his bandmates over money he’s owed, alleging Cory Taylor and Shawn “Clown” Crahan specifically funneled money through secret corporations that allowed them to control how funds were distributed.

Identifiable by his signature zipper-mouth “gimp” mask with a phallic proboscis, Fehn wants “a full forensic accounting done on Slipknot’s companies and assets, and to collect the damages and profits he believes he’s owed” according to The Blast.

While this is unlikely to derail the upcoming album and tour, it certainly casts a shadow of the band’s much-anticipated return to the limelight.

You can check out Rock Feed’s analysis of the situation in the video embedded at the top of the article.

Hopefully, we’ll have better Slipknot news to report in the not-too-distant future. Stay tuned, maggots.
