STRANGER THINGS Season 3 Fan Theory Suggests One of the Kids will Become the Monster

We just recently got our first look at the new monster the kids will be facing when Stranger Things returns to Netflix for a 3rd season on July 4th. Eleven and friends have defeated the Demogorgon and the Mind-Flayer, but Season 3’s beastie may be their toughest challenge yet—especially if a new fan theory making the rounds proves true.

What if this new abomination doesn’t come from the depth of the Upside-Down, but from quiet, unassuming Hawkins itself? And what if this monster is actually someone we’ve known since Season 2? What if the monster in Stranger Things Season 3 is Max’s ne’er-do-well brother, Billy (played by Dacre Montgomery)? Sure, he’s kind of a dick, but it would certainly add some emotional currency to any impending battles.

This is a theory purported in the video at the top of the article produced by our friends at HN Entertainment—and they make a pretty convincing case. Give it a spin and let us know what you think!

Besides Montgomery, returning Stranger Things cast members include: Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, David Harbour as Chief Jim Hopper, Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Noah Schnapp as Will Byers, Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Cara Buono as Karen Wheeler, Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, Joe Keery as Steve Harrington, and Sadie Sink as Max.

Stay tuned for part 2 to find out what type of pants Kim needs for this one.Writer/Dir.
