THE PRODIGY Comes Home on VOD, Blu-ray & DVD
Mark your calendars! Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has just announced that The Prodigy will be coming home on VOD April 23rd and then hitting shelves on Blu-ray and DVD May 7th.
The Prodigy marks director Nicholas McCarthy’s (The Pact, Holidays) 10th film and stars Golden Globe and Emmy nominee Taylor Schilling most notably from Orange is the New Black (though I personally loved her as Dagny Taggart in Atlas Shrugged Part 1). While being her first dalliance with the horror genre Schilling’s role as Sarah in The Prodigy already has fans hoping it’s not her last.

“Sarah is a mother whose young son Miles’ disturbing behavior signals that an evil, possibly supernatural force has overtaken him. Fearing for her family’s safety, Sarah must grapple with her maternal instinct to love and protect Miles in favor of investigating what – or who – is causing his dark turn. She is forced to look for answers in the past, taking the audience on a wild ride; one where the line between perception and reality remains blurry.“
Written by Jeff Buhler and directed by Nicholas McCarthy, The Prodigy stars Taylor Schilling, Jackson Robert Scott, Peter Mooney, and Colm Feore.
