We Finally Know Who’s Doing the Voice of Chucky in the New CHILD’S PLAY!
A few weeks back, we reported that Orion was looking for an A-List actor to voice the new Chucky in their Child’s Play remake. Today, we finally know who they snagged: Mark Hamill! Deadline broke the news:
Hamill joins a cast that includes Aubrey Plaza, Gabriel Bateman, and Brian Tyree Henry in the “contemporary re-imagining” of the 1988 horror hit that follows the malevolent path of a Buddi doll that is sentient, bloodthirsty, and not as friendly as his smile. The news was announced at Orion’s panel presentation today at WonderCon, in Anaheim. Fans bellowed their excitement when Hamill appeared on overhead video screens in a taped greeting.
Check out the trailer for Child’s Play below. The film is directed by Lars Klevberg; look for it in US theaters beginning June 21st.
