That’s a Wrap! Filming on GODZILLA VS KONG Has Finished in Australia

We’re still a month and a half away from the premiere of Godzilla: King of the Monsters, a sequel to both 2014’s Godzilla and 2017’s Kong: Skull Island; look for it in US theaters begining May 31st. Still, the film’s sequel, Godzilla vs Kong is moving full-steam ahead, eyeing a March 2020 release date.

Today, we’re getting word that Godzilla vs Kong has wrapped principal photography in Australia. The announcement was made by the film’s director, Adam Wingard, via Instagram.

Godzilla vs Kong stars Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown (Godzilla: King of the Monsters), Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry (Child’s Play), Eiza González, Jessica Henwick, Julian Dennison, Kyle Chandler (Godzilla: King of the Monsters), Demián Bichir (Alien: Covenant), Zhang Ziyi (The Cloverfield Paradox), and Lance Reddick.

It’ll be a while before we get a trailer, but you can check out the synopsis below.

Synopsis:
In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.
