VAMPIRELLA 50th Anniversary Kickstarter Adds 5th Promo Card Signed by Jae Lee

The folks at Dynamite have been burning the midnight oil in the lead-up to Free Comic Book Day on May 4th. We recently reported on their Vampirella collaboration with Playboy and, since 2019 marks Vampirella‘s 50th Anniversary, Dynamite has a second project in the works dedicated to the seminal female antihero. A new series featuring Vampirella will be launched in July at San Diego Comic-Con (which, coincidentally, is celebrating its 50th convention).

But wait, there’s more! In honor of Vampirella‘s 50th, Dynamite launched a Kickstarter campaign this weekend that has already scored backers ultra-premium sketch card packs, graphic novels, and more. Don’t worry if you missed out, because they’ve added a stretch goal and new perks! Here’s the scoop from today’s press release:

“At the new goal of $15,000, a bonus fifth promo card signed by Jae Lee will be added! Lee’s thorough and diverse bibliography includes tenures drawing Batman, Spider-Man, X-Men, and Fantastic Four. While his legendary work with writer Paul Jenkins on Inhumans and co-creation The Sentry helped build the foundation for the influential Marvel Knights line. He had a memorable run of Vampirella covers for the 1997 ‘The New Monthly’ series written by superstars Grant Morrison (Batman, Doom Patrol) and Mark Millar (Kick-Ass, Civil War) and Dynamite has picked a favorite to share with fans.”

Check out the gallery of promo cards below and contribute to the Kickstarter campaign, HERE.
