TIGERS ARE NOT AFRAID Finds a Home at Shudder!

One of the perks of being an entertainment journalist is that I get to attend a lot of film festivals. But I can’t make them all and I can’t see everything. As such, I’ve been dying to see Tigers Are Not Afraid since it ignited the festival circuit in 2017. Unfortunately, the film has yet to lock-down a North American distribution deal–until now!

Tigers Are Not Afraid is written and directed by Issa López whose debut feature has made her a rising star in the horror community. She’s received accolades from the likes of Stephen King, Guillermo del Toro, and Neil Gaiman.

Finally, we’ll all be able to experience Tigers Are Not Afraid on Shudder sometime in 2019! Deadline broke the news that AMC (Shudder’s parent company) has acquired the distribution rights:

“Tigers Are Not Afraid is a horror fable for the ages, as moving as it is frightening thanks to Issa’s fearless imagination,” said Shudder GM Craig Engler. “We are honored and excited to share this powerful film with our members.”

Synopsis:
A dark fairy tale about a gang of five children trying to survive the horrific violence of the cartels and the ghosts created every day by the drug war.

Tigers Are Not Afraid stars Paola Lara, Juan Ramón López, and Hanssel Casillas.
