Disney Gives THE NEW MUTANTS 2020 Release Date

Once upon a time, The New Mutants was the most hotly-anticipated horror movies of 2017. Then, after some delays, it became one of the most anticipated horror movies of 2018. By 2019, following the Disney/20th Century Fox merger, the status of The New Mutants became nebulous. Rumors swirled that the film might end of on Netflix while others began to suspect The New Mutants was doomed to sit on a shelf indefinitely.

Today, Disney announced that The New Mutants has been given an April 2020 release date. The long wait suggests the film will get another round of reshoots before being reassembled.

Synopsis:
Magik, Wolfsbane, and other teenage mutants try to come to grips with their superpowers while staying at a secret facility.

The New Mutants is directed by Josh Boone and stars Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Alice Braga. If the current release date holds, we’ll finally get to see it in 11 (freaking) months on April 3rd, 2020.
