Last month, a hacker unloaded a ton of code onto Reddit that confirmed a number of DC characters would be entering the world of Mortal Kombat 11. (Don’t ask me how decoding and data mining works; I have no freaking clue! But you can read a much more detailed account, HERE.) What was especially interesting, especially to horror fans, was code that named Ash Williams, the hero of the Evil Dead franchise, as a potential character in the game, which hit retailers on April 23rd.
But if you’re an Evil Dead fan who’s been looking for a way to find, unlock, or otherwise summon Ash to the fighting arena, I’ve got some bad news for you: It won’t happen.
With his typical flair for the sarcastic and overly dramatic, Ash actor Bruce Campbell set the record straight in a tweet that may go down in history! Check it out for yourself below.
