Event Report: I want to live in your mouth
Creepy title, right? Well, so is the pop-up of the same name taking place right now at Zombie Joe’s Underground in North Hollywood, California, and for fans of spooky immersive theatre, it’s definitely worth a look.
Brought to you by the team of Eric Vosmeier and David Ruzicka, I want to live in your mouth (held at 4850 Lankershim Boulevard in the NoHo Arts District) is a twenty-minute walkthrough experience that plunges attendees into the recesses of a childhood nightmare. And you’ve got to go in alone.
Well-crafted and well-acted with an elastic narrative that allows for personal interpretation, I want to live in your mouth also effectively delivers some tried and true jolts (“What’s under your bed?”) via clever production design, committed performers and a…. well, to reveal anymore may spoil your experience, so we’ll just say, “Go see it before it’s too late.”
With its initial six-week run sold out, I want to live in your mouth has extended its run through May 19 of this year. Visits can be scheduled HERE (tickets range from $70.00 to $22.50) and you can check them out on Instagram at @iwanttoliveinyourmouth.
We highly recommend it, and look forward to what Vosmeier and Ruzicka have next up their combined sleeve.
We’re sure it’ll be chilling.
