Annabelle & Chucky Crash DETECTIVE PIKACHU Party, Traumatizing Children
A Canadian movie theater in Montreal, Quebec was screening The Curse of La Llorona and Detective Pikachu simultaneously, in separate theaters. Unfortunately, the wires were crossed when the reels were handed off to the projectionists, and minor pandemonium ensued.
Parents and children were unnerved by the trailers playing in advance of Detective Pikachu. ScreenRant contributor Ryan George documented the entire fiasco in real time:

Of course, this means the folks expecting to see The Curse of La Llorona got an eye-full of Detective Pikachu related trailers, but we can only assume their experience was less traumatizing!
