Leo DiCaprio is “The Gringo” in Character Poster for Tarantino’s ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD

Leonardo DiCaprio is playing actor Rick Dalton in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, a movie that satirizes the film industry during that late 1960s; somehow, the Manson family is involved.

The latest poster for Hollywood features DiCaprio as Dalton; it’s an Italian print for a film that doesn’t exist (something we’ve seen in Tarantino flicks before, a sort of telescoping of fictions). Check out the lobby card-esque
Kill Me Now Ringo, Said The Gringo below.

Synopsis:
A faded television actor and his stunt double strive to achieve fame and success in the film industry during the final years of Hollywood’s Golden Age in 1969 Los Angeles.

Brad Pitt stars opposite DiCaprio as stuntman Cliff Booth; Margot Robbie will play Sharon Tate, Dakota Fanning will play Squeaky Fromme, Al Pacino will play Marvin Shwarz, and Damian Lewis will play Steve McQueen. Addition cast members include Kurt Russell, Timothy Olyphant, Margaret Qualley, Tim Roth, and the late Luke Perry.

Look for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood to hit US theaters beginning July 26th.

This week we're joined by Alex Henes and Matt Merenda, the filmmakers behind the yoga-horror found footage film Mind Body Spirit, which is available on demand and streaming on Shudder and AMC+. We chat about Sarah J. Bartholomew's fantastic performance, the script and more before diving into their childhoods and their very different reactions to horror as a kid. Then we chat about The Brave Little Toaster and how it destroyed all four of our childhoods. Anthropomorphic appliances, self-cannibalism, religion...this movie has it all and we laugh our way through describing just how messed up it actually is.
