New Teaser for R-Rated Superhero Horror BRIGHTBURN Pays Tribute to Its Comic Book Roots

The James Gunn-produced superhero horror Brightburn isn’t an adaptation of a comic book or graphic novel, but it’s clearly inspired by these mediums. The latest teaser for the film, arriving in US theaters tomorrow night (May 23rd), pays tribute to these roots. Check it out embedded at the top of the article.

Synopsis:
What if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister? David Yarovesky directs Brightburn from a screenplay penned by Brian Gunn and Mark Gunn; the film stars Elizabeth Banks, David Denman, and Matt Jones.
