Trailer: Cinepocalypse TAMMY AND THE T-REX “Gore Cut” World Premiere

When Cinepocalypse descends on Chicago next month, they’ll be screening a rare 35mm print of Airheads and Joe Bob Briggs’ How Rednecks Saved Hollywoods along with a full slate of irreverent and glorious horror movies. But the “cherry on top” is a world premiere of Tammy and the T-Rex the “Gore Cut”.

Originally released in 1994, Tammy and the T-Rex was rated PG-13. It was only recently that the R-rated “Gore Cut” was discovered, and its presentation at Cinepocalypse will be a world premiere. For a taste of what awaits you, give the new trailer a spin at the top of the article.

Synopsis:
An evil scientist implants the brain of Michael, a murdered high school student, into a Tyrannosaurus. He escapes, wreaks vengeance on his high school tormentors and is reunited with his sweetheart Tammy.

Tammy and the T-Rex is directed by Stewart Raffill who co-wrote the screenplay with Gary Brockette; the film stars Denise Richards, Theo Forsett, and the late Paul Walker. Those not attending Cinepocalypse will have an opportunity to see Tammy and the T-Rex the “Gore Cut” on Blu-ray later in 2019. A theatrical re-release is also in the works.

Cinepocalypse is held at Chicago’s Music Box Theater from June 13th thru 20th. Festival badges and individual tickets are available now at cinepocalypsegenrefest.com.
