RICK AND MORTY Creator Says He’d Love to Make an R-Rated Feature Film
Here’s some news that’s pretty schwifty!
Rick and Morty is one of the funniest animated series in years; it’s also one of the most nihilistic and (at times) genuinely terrifying. As such, it’s amassed a legion of fans, including many horror aficionados. Now, the show’s co-creator, Justin Roiland has set the internet ablaze by teasing the possibility of a Rick and Morty feature film.
Roiland recently participated in a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” session to promote the video game, Trover Saves The Universe, but fans wanted to know about the future of Rick and Morty; one asked:
“Will we get a feature length Rick and Morty film ever? A rated R film that’s totally bananas?”
To which the wiley animator replied:
“I would love to do that, yeah. Hmm. Hmmmmmm.”
Whether a Rick and Morty feature film is already in the works is unclear, but it’s excellent to know that Roiland is down to make the possibility a reality.
