“There’s a Light…” You Can Spend the Night at THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW Castle This Summer
In The Rocky Horror Picture Show, newly engaged couple Brad and Janet (played by Barry Bostwick and Susan Sarandon) arrive at “The Frankenstein Place”, a castle standing solitary on a dark and stormy night. Strange couplings and an alien invasion ensue. Many of the film’s most iconic scenes were filmed at Oakley Court, about 20 minutes from London’s Heathrow Airport.
If you’re a Rocky fan who’s dreamed of wandering these storied hallways, you actually have a chance to do so this Summer. Hornet reports:
Come Sunday, Aug. 25, 2019, fans of the cult film will gather at the Rocky Horror castle to celebrate the film during the Time Warp Picnic. For £260, you can secure overnight accommodation at Oakley Court, a full English breakfast, an afternoon buffet on the lawns and a late-night screening of the film.
