Blumhouse Seeks Transgender Latina for THE CRAFT Remake
Last Friday, we reported that the first witch has been cast in Blumhouse’s The Craft remake. Cailee Spaeny (Pacific Rim: Uprising, Bad Times at the El Royale) is in talks to star in Columbia Pictures’ remake of the 1990s cult hit. We can expect to hear further casting news in the not too distant future and don’t be surprised if one of the main cast is an openly transgender Latina.
Blumhouse put out the call recently for a transgender actress to play Lourdes, “a punk rocker” and “the second member of the teenage clique. her super Catholic mother threw her out for being trans and she now lives wih her 80-year-old abuela, who taught Lourdes a variety of supernatural practices.”
If you’re over 18 and fit the bill, check out the graphic below for information on how to apply.
The Craft remake will be directed by Zoe Lister-Jones. We’ll bring you updates as additional details emerge.
