Trailer: Brad Pitt Must Save the Solar System in High Concept Horror/Sci-fi AD ASTRA

Brad Pitt embarks on a highly secretive mission to save the solar system in the latest look at Ad Astra, a high concept horror/sci-fi slated to land in US theaters beginning September 20th. Give the TV spot a spin at the top of the article, followed by the film’s synopsis and first trailer below.

Synopsis:
An astronaut travels to the outer edges of the solar system to find his father and unravel a mystery that threatens the survival of our planet. He uncovers secrets which challenge the nature of human existence and our place in the cosmos.

James Gray directs Ad Astra from a screenplay co-scribed by Ethan Gross; in addition to Pitt, the film stars Liv Tyler, Tommy Lee Jones, and Donald Sutherland.
