Trailer: Charles Manson Looms Large in First Look at MINDHUNTER Season 2
Season 1 of Mindhunter, based on the true-crime book Mindhunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit written by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker, took us back to the 1970s to explore the roots of forensic psychology. It featured Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) and Bill Tench (Holt McCallany) as FBI agents interviewing the likes of Ed Kemper, Richard Speck, and Jerry Brudos.
Now, the dynamic crimefighting duo will face down a few more incarcerated monsters in when Mindhunter Season 2 arrives on Netflix beginning August 16th. Featured prominently in the trailer embedded at the top of the article is none other than Charles Manson. Give it a spin.
Synopsis:
Catching a criminal often requires the authorities to get inside the villain’s mind to figure out how he thinks. That’s the job of FBI agents Holden Ford and Bill Tench. They attempt to understand and catch serial killers by studying their damaged psyches. Along the way, the agents pioneer the development of modern serial-killer profiling. The crime drama has a strong pedigree behind the camera, with Oscar-nominated director David Fincher and Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron among the show’s executive producers.
