The smash festival hit Little Monsters has just dropped a red band trailer and it’s packed to the brim with zombies, gore, and…ukulele songs?
But seriously, as someone who has seen this movie, I can promise you that it’s the exact kind of hilarious injection that the zombie genre needs to stay fresh and interesting. It’s tightly directed, features wonderful performances, and is genuinely so funny that I thought I was going to hurt myself.

“Little Monsters centers on Dave, a washed-up musician who volunteers to chaperone his nephew’s kindergarten class field trip after taking a shine to the plucky schoolteacher, Miss Caroline. Dave’s intentions are complicated by the presence of the world’s most famous kids show personality, and competition for Miss Caroline’s affections, Teddy McGiggle. One thing none of them bargained for, however, is a sudden zombie outbreak, from which Dave and Miss Caroline must protect the children.“
Written and directed by Abe Forsythe, Little Monsters stars Lupita Nyong’o, Josh Gad, and Alexander England.
