Stephen King Wrote a Brand New Scene for IT: CHAPTER TWO
This morning, we announced that Stephen King was re-writing the ending of The Stand reboot currently in the works at CBS All Access. Apparently, this isn’t the only tome the undisputed Master of Horror is retooling. IT: Chapter Two director Andy Muschiettie told our friends at Syfy that King wrote a brand new scene for the film, arriving in theaters September 6th:
When the author read the first draft of the sequel, made a few notes, and requested the addition of “one all-new scene,” Muschietti listened. You don’t tell Stephen King that he can’t write IT.

Synopsis:

Andy Muschietti directs IT: Chapter Two from a screenplay penned by Gary Dauberman. The film stars James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Bill Skarsgård, and Javier Botet.
