Trailer: MINDHUNTER Season 2 Gets to the Bottom of the Atlanta Child Murders

An infamous string of child murders in Atlanta will serve as the backdrop for Mindhunter Season 2, returning to Netflix on August 16th. Give the first full-length trailer a spin at the top of the article.

Synopsis:
Catching a criminal often requires the authorities to get inside the villain’s mind to figure out how he thinks. That’s the job of FBI agents Holden Ford and Bill Tench. They attempt to understand and catch serial killers by studying their damaged psyches. Along the way, the agents pioneer the development of modern serial-killer profiling. The crime drama has a strong pedigree behind the camera, with Oscar-nominated director David Fincher and Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron among the show’s executive producers.

Season 1 of Mindhunter, based on the true-crime book Mindhunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit written by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker, took us back to the 1970s to explore the roots of forensic psychology. It featured Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) and Bill Tench (Holt McCallany) as FBI agents interviewing the likes of Ed Kemper, Richard Speck, and Jerry Brudos.
