Exclusive: Taste DOOM: ANNIHILATION’s Action In This Brand New Teaser

On October 1, Universal 1440 Entertainment is bringing a slice of Hell to Halloween with the release of DOOM: ANNIHILATION. Not a sequel but rather a new story based off the popular original video game, this intense, thrilling feature sees a group of space marines sent to Mars to fend off a horde of demonic beasts.

Today, we’ve got an exclusive new teaser that showcases the weapons, action, and demons that we’ve come to know and love from the video games. For those of you disappointed in 2005’s DOOM and its lack of video game-inspired baddies, I think you’ll be very pleased with what’s on display here! Check out the video above and then make sure to pre-order your copy of DOOM: ANNIHILATION right here!

Writer/director Tony Giglio tells us, “Very excited to share this new clip from DOOM: ANNIHILATION with everyone through Dread Central. While it’s only 30 seconds, there’s more scope, more demons, more game elements, and more chaos. I hope fans enjoy this and the film, which comes out October 1st.”

On the darkest moon of Mars, scientists have found an ancient portal which allows teleportation throughout the universe. Considered to be mankind’s greatest discovery, it’s actually a gateway from hell, unleashing a swarm of demons looking to steal the souls of everyone who gets in their way. It’s up to Lieutenant Joan Dark and an elite unit of Marines to destroy an ever-growing horde of bloodsucking and soul-stealing beasts and prevent them from taking over planet earth.

The film stars Amy Manson (Atlantis, The Nevers), Dominic Magham (Ophelia), Luke Allen-Gale (Dominion), and Nina Bergman (The Car: Road to Revenge).

DOOM: ANNIHILATION was written and directed by Tony Giglio (Chaos, Timber Falls), was executive produced by Lorenzo Di Bonaventura (Bumblebee) and John Wells (Animal Kingdom), and is produced by Jeffery Beach (Jarhead 3: The Siege), Phillip Roth (Death Race: Beyond Anarchy) and Ogden Gavanski (Cult of Chucky).
