Dread Central to Host Free NYC Screening of Blumhouse’s BLOODLINE on September 18th

Leaving comedy for horror, American Pie actor Seann William Scott gets his hands wet—with lots of grue!—in the giallo-style thriller Bloodline. The film won raves at Austin’s Fantastic Fest last summer, and now you can see this Blumhouse Production at our free screening in New York City! Dread Central will be hosting an East Coast premiere of Bloodline on Wednesday, September 18 at Brooklyn’s popular Alamo Drafthouse Cinema (445 Albee Square West; 718-513-2547). Doors open at 7 pm.

Dread’s Bloodline screening will be a free show; to obtain tickets, fill out the screening form below. Offer is good for you and your guests (the more the merrier!). Seating is not guaranteed, so arrive early. Yours truly will host.

Besides Scott, Bloodline stars Mariela Garriga (Nightmare Cinema), Dale Dickey (Hell or High Water) and Kevin Carrol (Velvet Buzzsaw). Bloodline marks the feature film directorial debut of Henry Jacobson, executive producer of recent chiller The Wind. Jacobson co-wrote Bloodline with Avra Fox-Lerner and Will Honley (The Hive).

Bloodline follows the gory misdeeds of Evan (Scott), a high school counselor/social worker who values family above all else. So much so that anyone who gets between him, his wife and newborn son winds up at the wrong end of a very sharp kitchen knife. But in this stylish serial-killer flick, when it comes to violent tendencies, it seems the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Kimberley Elizabeth of Nightmare on Film Street said of Bloodline, “…if you like conflicted emotions, groovy tunes, and well-executed special effects, you’re going to be happy to have found a new serial killer to deliver on all fronts.”

And Andy Triefenbach of Destroy the Brain found much praise for the lead actor’s work: “The film is driven by Scott’s steely performance. Sometimes, it is downright chilling.”

As a special bonus at the Bloodline screening, Dread Central will present the world premiere of the NYC-lensed short film Mesmeralda, written and directed by Joshua Matteo. See previous news story HERE.

This exclusive event is presented by our friends at Momentum Pictures, who are releasing Bloodline in theaters, digital and VOD on September 20th. You can check out the film’s social tags here: Twitter—@momentum_pics; Instagram—@momentum_pics and Facebook—https://www.facebook.com/MomentumPics/.

We got lots of screening love for you LA peeps too: Stop back tomorrow for news on a West Coast event for another brand-new horror film! More exclusive DreadVision screening events coming soon, so keep watching this space!
