Saban Snags DEATH OF ME from SAW Franchise’s Darren Lynn Bousman

Darren Lynn Bousman has been directing Saw movies for years and is currently helming Chris Rock’s reboot in Toronto. But the lauded horror maestro won’t be taking a break when that film wraps. Today brings word that his next film, Death of Me, has been acquired by Saban Films and the studio plans to release it in 2020.

Starring Maggie Q (NikitaDivergent franchise) and Luke Hemsworth (Thor: Ragnarok, Westworld) and from a script penned by Ari Margolis (Black Days) and James Morley III (BlackDaysIntrepid) and David Tish (Blood Money)

Synopsis:
Death of Me centers on a couple on an exotic holiday who awaken one morning with a hangover and no recollection of what transpired. When playing back the video of their previous night, they learn they participated in a ritual that somehow ended with the husband murdering the wife — though she’s actually very much alive.

“Darren has been a staple in the horror genre from early on with the Saw franchise, and we are thrilled to be partnering with him on his latest film,” said Saban Films’ Bill Bromiley.  “The suspense and chemistry that Maggie and Luke bring to the screen will keep audiences enraptured through this wild ride.”
