John Carpenter’s Score For HALLOWEEN 2018 Getting Expanded Edition
Sacred Bones Record has announced that they will be releasing an expanded edition of John Carpenter’s score for last year’s Halloween.
The new edition will include more than 28 minutes of additional music and will come in three different variations: the first a 2xLP pressed on glow-in-the-dark splatter (limited to 1,000 copies), the second a Sacred Bones Record Society “Bloody Jumpsuit” exclusive (limited to 150 copies), and the third being the standard orange/black LP. All versions will come housed in a lenticular sleeve that makes it look like Michael is burning.
Here’s the lenticular cover in action:
“The additional material included on the expanded edition adds a total of 24 cues to the album, spread across two more sides of vinyl on the deluxe double LP version. The LP also has all-new art and lavish packaging, including an optical-illusion lenticular sleeve that makes the flames around Michael Myers’s mask dance when you slide it off the record jacket.“
The expanded edition will be released on October 18, 2019. Pre-orders are already open via Sacred Bones Records.
