Dread Central to Host Free LA Screening of Blumhouse’s PREY on Sept 24th!

Dread Central will be hosting a free screening of Prey, the latest film from the horror masters at Blumhouse Productions. Screening will take place on Tuesday, September 24 at 7:30 pm at Hollywood’s swanky Arena Cinelounge Sunset (6464 Sunset Boulevard; 323-924-1644). Directed by Franck Khalfoun (Amityville: The Awakening,Maniac,P2,I Lived), Prey stars Logan Miller (Escape Room, The Walking Dead) and Kristine Froseth (Apostle) as two young strangers forced to run and fight for their lives against a mysterious and deadly force lurking deep in the jungle of a secluded island retreat.

Co-written by David Coggeshall (Scream: The TV Series) and Khalfoun, Prey co-stars Jolene Anderson (Harrow), Jerrica Lai (Crazy Rich Asians), Phodisdo Dintwe (The Cul De Sac), Anthony Jensen (upcoming The Gallows Act II) and Jody Mortara (Blood Relatives). For free tix to the movie, fill out the form below.

Co-produced by Hyde Park Entertainment, Prey follows Toby Burns (Miller), a millennial coldly floating through life and disconnected from his family. After his father is tragically killed in a carjacking, Toby is left stricken with guilt. He is begrudgingly enrolled in a “Lost and Found” program, in which he will spend three days and three nights on a remote jungle island. Toby soon finds that this “uninhabited” island is not so lonely when he meets a mysterious girl named Madeleine (Froseth). It soon becomes clear that neither of them is safe here and time is running out. Someone or something bloodthirsty lurks in the jungle, and Toby must find a way off this island before becoming its Prey

This special movie night event is presented by our friends at Cinedigm, who will release Prey in theaters and VOD September 27. Dread Central will unveil an exclusive clip from Prey in the days ahead. Stay tuned! You can check out the film’s Facebook page HERE.

So, LA fans, mark your calendar for September 24th and come see Prey.
