Screamfest LA 2019: EAT, BRAINS, LOVE Wins ‘Best Picture’ Award, THE WAVE Sweeps – Full List of Winners & Photos
With the 19th Annual Screamfest Horror Film Festival having come to a close at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood, CA, filmmakers and film fans alike gathered Thursday night for the festival’s after-party held at the Hollywood & Highland complex. So who won? Read on.
Hosted this year by Dread Central’s own Sean Decker and actress Sarah Nicklin, the evening found director Gille Klabin’s feature film The Wave a big winner, taking home five of the coveted Skully Awards (which were created by the late Academy Award-winning special effects wizard Stan Winston), while director Rodman Flender’s romantic horror-comedy Eat, Brains, Love snatched up the prize for ‘Best Picture.’ See the full list of winners of the Rachel Belofsky-founded festival, the largest and longest-running horror fest in the United States, below, as well as a few photos from the evening.
