Happy Halloween, Dread Central readers! He’s another treat for you!
Vitamin String Quartet drops a new video paying tribute to Alfred Hitchcock’s 1960 thriller Psycho. The video for their cover of the “Rainstorm” theme is their darkest yet, with allusions to the original film and new, imaginative, haunting imagery throughout. Give the video a spin at the top of the article!
Vitamin String Quartet is releasing five new Halloween-themed videos in October. Every Wednesday of the month VSQ is dropping a new video paying tribute to classic movie scores. Included is John Carpenter’s chilling theme to Halloween, the eerie “Rain Storm” theme from Psycho, and the tense Walking Dead intro, as well as three upcoming videos featuring music from Nightmare Before Christmas.

Filmed at Heritage Square—a museum of relocated Victorian-era houses in Los Angeles—the videos have a classic spooky atmosphere. They are an ode to the immersive and effecting power of a film score and a fun way to celebrate the season.
