The last installment in the found-footage franchise was Gregory Plotkin’s Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension starring Chris J. Murray, Brit Shaw, and Ivy George back in 2015.
It followed a man, his wife, and their 7-year-old daughter as they prepare for Christmas in their new home. After finding an old and mysterious camcorder, the father quickly learns that it can record strange apparitions that are invisible to the naked eye. When the young daughter starts talking to an imaginary friend and displaying strange behavior, the couple soon find themselves in a terrifying battle with a supernatural force.
Gregory Plotkin (Hell Fest) directed Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension from a script by Adam Black, Andrew Deutschman, Adam Robitel, and Gavin Heffernan based on a story by Brantley Aufill, Jason Harry Pagan, and Andrew Deutschman. Jason Blum produced with Oren Peli and it starred Chris J. Murray, Brit Shaw, Dan Gill, Ivy George, and Olivia Taylor Dudley. Paramount released it back in October 2015.
Once again for the cheap seats, the new entry in the Paranormal Activity series will be unleashed on March 19, 2021.
