THE SHINING In The White House? Fede Alvarez’s New Movie Sounds Awesome!

Evil Dead and Don’t Breathe director Fede Alvarez is one of our favorites here at Dread Central. And his new movie sounds – no pun intended – killer. Yes, today we’re hearing from Deadline that Alvarez has picked his new flick to direct and while plot details on the new film are begin kept under wraps, it has been described as The Shining in the White House so I don’t think we really need to know more at this point in time.

I’m already sold!

Again we don’t know much else about this sure-to-be must-see flick at this point in time, but that said we do know that Alvarez will be taking the helm of this Washington, D.C.-based horror film from an original screenplay written by Joe Epstein.

Are you as excited as I am for Fede Alvarez’s The Shining in the White House movie? Let us know in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram!

Alvarez’s last movie was his adaptation of David Lagercrantz’s The Girl in the Spider’s Web starring Claire Foy.

That film centered on Lisbeth Salander who is hired to steal a computer program that can access codes for nuclear weapons worldwide. The download soon draws attention from an NSA agent who traces the activity to Stockholm. Further problems arise when Russian thugs take Lisbeth’s laptop and kidnap a math whiz who can make FireWall work. Now, Lisbeth and an unlikely ally must race against time to save the boy and recover the codes to avert disaster. Check out the trailer below.
